Another East Atlanta venue is The Earl (Great Bar, Great Bands, Great Dunch)

It seems I always end up at the Star Bar at least once a month.
The MJQ concourse is a cool club that is literally underground

The Five Spot is a great place for Jazz and experimental music (Never a Cover Charge)
The Eyedrum has the best shows in Atlanta (if you have good taste)
The Variety Playhouse is a great venue to see a show at.
The Clermont Lounge is a place of great culture in Atlanta.
When in Marietta Square you might get lucky at
Johnnie McCrackens
Under The Couch is great if you can find a parking place and if the update the schedule...
Stomp & Stammer my favorite source for my kind of Atlanta culture.
